REQUEST FOR BIDS FOR CONSTABLE SERVICES

The Framingham Housing Authority is hereby soliciting sealed bids for as needed Constable Services. The contract shall be for a period of two years estimated at $70,000.00 commencing on or around February 1, 2021 and ending on February 1, 2023.The selected proposer shall be required to perform the following services covering locations in Middlesex County.

 

  1. Service of Summary process summons and complaints / pick up and return to service to FHA attorney.
  2. Services of subpoenas for witness/ pick up and return service to FHA Attorney
  3. Service of forty-eight (48) hour notices of intent to levy on executions, coordinate and complete move out under direction of FHA.
  4. levy upon executions issued in summary process actions, coordinate and complete move out under direction of the FHA

Service of short order of notices on request for injunctive relief/ pick up and return of Service to FHA attorney.
service of same day/next day subpoenas/ pick up and return of service to FHA Attorney
pick up and Service of Notice to Quit and providing FHA Attorney with copies and returns of service
Appearance in court as witness verifying service.

ADVERTISEMENT
The Framingham Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General
Contractors for the Framingham Housing Authority Patio Project, Development: John J. Brady Drive
for the Framingham Housing Authority in Framingham Massachusetts, in accordance with the bid
documents prepared by BETA Group, Inc.
The Project consists of the: Construction of a Concrete Paver Patio, landscaping, drainage work,
fencing, and trash receptacle enclosures along the rear of the Administration Building on John J.
Brady Drive and the restoration of the lawn area between the building and the retaining wall.
The work is estimated to cost $105,000.00
An Allowance of $6,000.00 shall be carried for Patio Accessories.
Contractor to begin work within 30 days of Notice to Proceed, but no later than March 15,
unless agreed to by the Owner.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30 § 39M & to prevailing wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26
to 27H inclusive, and the Davis/Bacon Wage Rate, whichever hourly rate pays more. The project
is subject to Title VI of the Civil rights Act of 1964, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban
Development Act of 1968 and the FRAMINGHAM Housing Authority is an Equal Opportunity

General Bids will be received until 11:00 a.m., February 11, 2021 and at that time will be publicly
opened and read aloud. All Bids will be submitted to the Framingham Housing Authority and
received no later than the date and time specified above.
General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the
bid amount and made payable to the FRAMINGHAM HOUSING AUTHORITY.
Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available electronically only on January 20,

Framingham Housing Authority, 1 John J Brady Drive, Framingham, MA. Attendance at the Pre-bid
meeting is not mandatory but is recommended.

The Contract shall be for a period of one year with an option to extend for one additional year. Based on past FHA history this contract is estimated at $70,000.00 per year.

INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

The Framingham Housing Authority is hereby soliciting sealed bids for trash containers and removal services.

The contract shall be for a period of two years, commencing on or about March 15, 2021 and ending on or about March 15, 2023 and it’s estimated at $110,000 – $115,000. An additional one year extension will be available if mutually agreed upon.

Bids must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope to the Framingham Housing Authority, 1 John J. Brady Drive Framingham, MA 01702, where said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00am on Thursday, February 25, 2021. All bids received later than said date and time will not be opened or considered. All bidders shall write on the face of the envelope in which their bid is submitted “BID FOR TRASH CONTAINERS AND REMOVAL SERVICES”.

This IFB requires a five percent (5%) bid deposit, which must be submitted with the bid in the form of a bid bond or cashier’s check.

The Framingham Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bids received and to accept the bid which it deems most favorable to the authority.

The FRAMINGHAM HOUSING AUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Entrance Canopy Renovations, John J. Brady Drive, in Framingham, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Andrew M. Brockway & Associates.

The Project consists of: Renovations to eight (8) entrance canopies at one development including new wood framing, new asphalt shingle roofing, new finish carpentry, new exterior lighting.

The work is estimated to cost $55,000.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive; Federal Regulation 24 CFR Part 85.36 and the Davis-Bacon Act.

LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE

THE MUSTERFIELD AT CONCORD PLACE

 

The Framingham Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from landscape contractors for Landscape Maintenance at The Musterfield at Concord Place, Framingham, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by the Framingham Housing Authority.

 

The work under this contract includes spring clean-up, fall clean-up, weekly maintenance, ornamental tree and shrub pruning, seasonal flower planting, and other landscaping services as required.

 

This contract is a two-year contract with an option to renew for one additional year at the Framingham Housing Authority’s discretion.

 

The total estimate cost is $64,000 for a two-year contract.

 

Sealed Bids will be received until 11:00am on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 and publicly opened forthwith.

This project is being bid pursuant to the requirement of M.G.L. c. 30, § 39M as set forth in M.G.L. c. 149. The awarded contractor must pay Prevailing Wage Rates as set by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
